No Win No Fee FAQs

How do I know whether I can make a no win no fee claim?

You may be able to pursue a personal injury claim if you have suffered an injury which was someone else's fault.  This can include accidents at work, road traffic accidents, medical negligence, slips, trips and falls, and many other types of injury. However, the best thing is to call us to get free specialised legal advice about whether you can make a no win no fee claim.

Will I have to pay anything?

If your claim is successful and you are awarded compensation, the other party’s insurance company will normally pay all your solicitor’s costs as well as paying you compensation. This means you do not have to pay anything whether you win or lose and there are no hidden costs whatsoever.  However, there are some exceptions and your solicitor will be able to advise you fully in this regard before your claim starts.

What if I lose the claim?

As the process runs on a ‘no win no fee’ basis, this means you do not have to pay a penny even if you lose the claim.

What is the time period for starting a no win no fee claim?

Usually, a period of three years is the time frame for initiating a no win no fee claim. However, there are exceptions, including claimants suffering from mental illness and children below 18 years of age. The time limit also varies depending on some of the symptoms of injuries. With some injuries it takes time to develop the symptoms and in such cases the time limit varies and runs from the period when the symptoms were first noticed and were linked to the party in question.

If you are concerned about whether you still have time to claim, or if you are close to the 3 year limit, contact LeoClaims as soon as possible and we will be happy to advise you.

How much compensation will I get?

Compensation amounts vary a great deal because injuries affect people in different ways.  Once we have obtained a medical report in support of your claim we will be in a position to advise you in this regard.
